Role of the CAD Technician – Flat Roofing Systems

• Deal with various flat roof systems such as felt roofing, green roofing systems, bitumen membranes, hot melt roofing, cold liquid applied waterproofing, waterproof roof coatings, single ply, structural waterproofing, etc.
• Produce, check, and process incoming design drawing requests, technical documentation, and calculations.
• Check incoming specifications against client and technical requirements such as sustainability and compatibility.
• Carry out calculations related to waterproof design (thermal performance, drainage, wind loads, PV).
• Handle inbound technical enquiries via telephone and email.
• Keep up to date with Industry Codes of Practice & Building Regulations.

Ideal Candidate

• Must have CAD experience within the construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Open to architects, architectural technicians, surveyors, draughtsmen, etc.
• Ideally hold a construction-related degree.
• Strong technical skills.
• IT literate (Microsoft Office).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
