Job summary

Cad Technician (2D AutoCAD / HVAC)

Location: Middleton, Manchester | Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 | Benefits: Training, Progression, 33 Days Holiday, Company Bonus, Company Benefits

Are you a CAD Technician with experience producing 2D drawings for HVAC or MEP, looking to join a forward‑thinking business that offers a stable workload and a large order book of interesting projects?

In this role you will create 2D drawings for the building services industry, including ductwork layouts, FCUs, grilles, heat recovery, dampers, and ventilation systems. You will review 2D mechanical layouts and work alongside the Pre‑Construction and Mechanical teams who provide design direction.

Responsibilities

• Creating 2D drawings using AutoCAD
• Working under the direction of the Pre‑Construction and Mechanical Directors
• Monday – Friday, 8am–5pm, full time (40 hours)

Qualifications & Desired Skills

• Background in HVAC, MEP or Building Services
• Experience with CAD – particularly AutoCAD 2D drafting
• Strong knowledge of building service components (ductwork, FCUs, grilles, heat recovery, dampers, ventilation)
• Capacity to work collaboratively with design teams
