Job summary

Certain Advantage is hiring a CAD Technician in the Widnes area. The role is permanent and site-based, within a small, experienced team handling design through manufacture and finishing for sheetmetal fabrication and electrical enclosures.

You will draw packs for production, decide on drawing types (2D/3D), check customer requirements, design part profiles in RADAN/subcon/punch, and oversee production to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in sheetmetal CAD for fabrication environments.
• Proficient in CAD software and related qualifications.
• Ability to liaise with customers and understand requirements.

Responsibilities

• Produce drawing packs for production and works orders.
• Decide on drawing types for each job (2D, 3D, etc.).
• Verify customer requirements and address technical questions.
• Design part profiles using RADAN, subcon, punch or manual methods.
• Oversee the production process to ensure accuracy.

The Role

This role is for a CAD Technician—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-orientated and driven to succeed.

You’ll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

• Drawing packs, for production and works orders.
• Decide on types of drawings for the job or project- 2D, 3D or other.
• Check customer requirements, technical questions (TQ’s), etc.
• Design part profiles on software RADAN, subcon, punch or manual work
• Oversee the production process
