MTrec Limited is recruiting a CAD Technician for a permanent, full-time position to design 2D drawings and support bespoke engineering projects. The role requires close collaboration with the project engineering team and the ability to interpret customer specifications.

Applicants should have at least 2 years’ CAD experience, with AutoCAD 2D proficiency and an understanding of airflow/LEV or similar systems. On-site work and a collaborative, small-team environment are offered.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D.
• Experience with sheet metal/manufacturing products is desirable.

MTrec Recruitment are proudly representing our specialist manufacturing client in their recruitment for a CAD Technician to expand their current team. The role will focus on design work for a variety of bespoke engineering projects, for a portfolio of rapidly expanding clients.

The Job you will do:

• Carry out 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Interpret customer requirements and technical specifications
• Working closely with the project engineering team
• Making necessary design adjustments to fit bespoke client needs

About you:

• Experience/understanding of Airflow, LEV systems, vacuum/extraction or similar products is essential
• Experience working with sheet metal/metal-based manufacturing products is desirable
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
• Good communicator at all levels
• Able to work well in a small team, and liaise effectively with clients and internal departments
