Job summary

Scottish Power Transmissions is currently recruiting a CAD Operator to join their Cambuslang-based team on a contract basis. The role focuses on developing 2D drawings for Land & Planning using AutoCAD, including mapping drawings for land consents and purchases along OHL routes.

You will report to the Estates/Planning Discipline Lead and deliver accurate drawings that meet project, safety and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of drawing principles and health & safety requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships across teams.
• Proficient in producing drawings: plans, sections, elevations, schedules and details.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of 2D Drawings for Land & Planning using AutoCAD.
• Producing mapping drawings for land consents/purchases for OHL routes for the Land & Planning Team.
• Compliance: supporting adherence to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards within project deliverables.
• Workload Management: responsible for organising and progressing your allocated workload efficiently.
• Information Gathering: collecting relevant information to produce accurate drawings.

Our client Scottish Power Transmissions are currently recruiting for a CAD operator to join their team based in Cambuslang on a contract basis initially. ScottishPower’s Drawing Office is expanding to meet growing business demands, and we are seeking Estates & Planning (Drawing Office) – Land & Planning Team to support these efforts.

About the Role

As a CAD Operator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing drawing solutions for Land Purchase/ Agreements. Reporting to the Estates/ Planning Discipline Lead, you will play an important role in delivering accurate, consistent drawing outputs that meet project, safety, and compliance requirements. This role will draw on your key skills in drawing creation, technical expertise within Land/ Planning, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
