Job summary

Scottish Power Transmissions is recruiting a CAD Operator for Cambuslang on a contract basis to develop 2D drawings for Land & Planning using AutoCAD. You will support the Land & Planning team within SP Energy Networks’Drawing Office expansion for Scotland’s transmission programme.

Reporting to the Estates/Planning Discipline Lead, you’ll produce accurate drawings, ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, and collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to meet project

Qualifications

• Experience in 2D drawing production for Land & Planning.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for producing land consents and purchase drawings.
• Strong drawing principles and health, safety and environmental awareness.
• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D drawings for Land & Planning using AutoCAD to support land purchases and agreements.

Our client Scottish Power Transmissions are currently recruiting for a CAD operator to join their team based in Cambuslang on a contract basis initially. Ideally for this role they are looking for an strong CAD Operator who has experience of preparing 2D drawings for Land & Planning using AutoCAD. For more information on this role see below:

SP Energy Networks is expanding its Drawing Office to support a major multi year programme upgrading Scotland’s transmission network.
ScottishPower’s Drawing Office is expanding to meet growing business demands, and we are seeking Estates & Planning (Drawing Office) – Land & Planning Team to support these efforts.

About the Role

As a CAD Operator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing drawing solutions for Land Purchase/ Agreements.
Reporting to the Estates/ Planning Discipline Lead, you will play an important role in delivering accurate, consistent drawing outputs that meet project, safety, and compliance requirements.
This role will draw on your key skills in drawing creation, technical expertise within Land/ Planning, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of 2D Drawings for Land & Planning using Autocad:?Producing Mapping drawings for land consents/ purchases for OHL routes for the Land & Planning Team.
• Compliance:?Supporting adherence to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards within project deliverables.
• Workload Management:?Responsible for organising and progressing your allocated workload efficiently.
• Information Gathering:?Collecting relevant information to produce?accurate drawings.

What You’ll Bring

• In-depth understanding of drawing principles and health & safety requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.?
• Ability to?establish?effective working relationships with individuals, departments, and businesses.
• Produce drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and details.
• Proficient in using Autodesk products, including but not restricted to AutoCAD 2022, Vault, ACC, ProjectWise and the MS Office suite.?
• Ensure all work meets quality, accuracy, and project deadlines.
