Job summary

Progress Engineering Limited is seeking a Technical Administrator to join a growing engineering and fabrication business. You will work closely with management, production and customers to convert enquiries into manufacturing plans.

You’ll prepare quotations, produce and amend AutoCAD drawings, liaise on technical enquiries and maintain engineering docs, while supporting production and documenting processes. AutoCAD training is provided, with a path into estimating and technical administration.

Qualifications

• Good engineering knowledge with experience in fabrication or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Experience within fabrication, sheet metal or general engineering.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
• Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing quotations from customer drawings and specifications.
• Producing and amending AutoCAD drawings.
• Liaising with customers and suppliers regarding technical enquiries.
• Maintaining engineering documentation and drawing revisions.
• Preparing job packs and manufacturing documentation.
• Supporting production with technical and administrative requirements.
• Maintaining accurate information within our factory management system.
