CAD Engineer, Hull

We have an opportunity for a CAD Engineer who is looking to take the next steps in their career development.

Job Purpose:

1. Create accurate 3D CAD models, 2D assembly drawings, cutting lists, and other information used to process material and manufacture parts for Holiday Homes.
2. Produce designs that contribute to satisfying the product brief and RFT quality, using information from teams such as Design, Process Engineering, and Product Management.
3. Follow the design manual and departmental practices to ensure consistency and quality.
4. Design to current standards and procedures, liaising with compliance specialists to meet regulation requirements.
5. Collaborate with the prototype team to gather and react to feedback from initial builds.
6. Take ownership of designs and suggest improvements for better solutions.
7. Perform thorough departmental drawing checks for production and supplier usage, reviewing colleagues’ 3D CAD models and drawings.
8. Provide technical CAD data to procurement and bill of materials teams.

Key requirements, skills, and attributes:

1. Good working knowledge of 3D modelling software.
2. Experience in creating manufacturing data and drawings.
3. Experience with manufacturing processes used in building Holiday Homes, modular buildings, or similar structures.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, producing accurate information under tight schedules.
5. Engineering qualification at minimum HND level or equivalent industry experience.
6. CAD C&G Level 3 or equivalent with at least 2 years of in-depth CAD experience.
