Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd is seeking a CAD Engineer for their Batley, West Yorkshire operation. This entry-to-mid level role targets candidates with a solid engineering foundation, CAD experience, and a willingness to learn and develop professionally.

You will carry out design detailing for manufacture, manage laser cutting liaison, prepare CAD designs (SolidWorks preferred), and support manufacturing with accurate information.

Qualifications

• Degree or master’s qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• SolidWorks CAD experience preferred.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Good communication with customers and suppliers, detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out design detailing of units and prepare designs for manufacture.
• Manage plasma cutting requirements and liaise with laser cutting suppliers for pricing and quotations.
• Arrange and order laser-cut components as required.
• Produce accurate CAD designs and engineering information to support manufacturing requirements.
• Work predominantly from the office, with occasional travel to customer sites to carry out design measurements.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers where required to ensure design and manufacturing requirements are understood.

Position: CAD Engineer – Location: Batley, West Yorkshire – Salary: £27,000 - £33,000 Depending on experience

Our client is a well-established, family-run business with a strong reputation within the engineering industry. Due to continued development, they are seeking an enthusiastic CAD Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at an early stage of their engineering career, with previous industry experience not essential. The successful candidate will have a solid engineering foundation, CAD experience and a genuine willingness to learn and develop professionally.

• Carrying out design detailing of units and prepare designs for manufacture.
• Manage plasma cutting requirements and liaise with laser cutting suppliers for pricing and quotations.

• Based in a commutable distance of Batley, West Yorkshire
