Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join a small two-person design studio in Leicester. You will produce accurate 2D drawings and machine-ready files, translating sales concepts into practical designs ready for manufacture.

Key responsibilities include creating 2D CAD drawings with a CorelDRAW-based system, preparing files for CNC routers and laser cutting, checking manufacturability, and collaborating with sales, directors and shopfloor teams to ensure designs meet

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a CAD or drawing office role.
• Strong 2D CAD skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Signage industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Experience with sheet metal, steel fabrication, CNC routing, laser cutting or press brake processes would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

Salary: £30,000-£40,000 DOE

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

About the Role

About You
