Job summary

DS Smith at Ralegh (Manby) is seeking a CAD/CAM Operator to turn customer drawings into precise cutting dies for manufacture. You will work closely with customers and production teams, applying drawings and specs to deliver manufacturing-ready outputs.

Training is provided, and you will learn the role from the ground up, contributing to process improvements. The role requires a detail-focused, methodical approach, with opportunities to grow within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in CAD/CAM or a willingness to learn.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.

Responsibilities

• Produce CAD/CAM designs for flatbed and rotary cutting dies using customer drawings and specs.
• Interpret customer requirements and translate into manufacturing-ready outputs.
• Prepare and process CAD/CAM data per customer and production needs.
• Distribute design information to relevant production departments.
• Collaborate with customers and team leaders to ensure on-time project completion.
• Perform quality checks to ensure designs meet specifications.
