Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a CAD Technician based in Immingham for a full-time position, transitioning to permanent after one month. The candidate will be part of a high-performing team delivering innovative CAD solutions, responsible for producing accurate drawings, maintaining project standards, and supporting CAD/BIM management. Key qualifications include CAD certification and experience in relevant construction projects. This role requires a proactive approach to improve processes and educate team members on CAD tools.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience of relevant construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and monitor CAD design standards and procedures.
  • Ensure project documentation and contracts are in compliance with project standards.
  • Plan, organize and manage work plans of CAD project team.
  • Support the Information Manager on third party data delivery.
  • Production of CAD and BIM models.
  • Recommend best practices for solutions.
  • Maintain documentation records of generated design deliverables.
  • Ensure incoming CAD data meets BIM objectives.
  • Educate project managers and engineers in CAD processes.
  • Respond to technical CAD questions and communicate information.

Skills

Knowledge of information management tools and especially CAD
Experience of CAD/BIM management tools
Experience of CAD/BIM within an engineering or multi-disciplinary project
Experience of managing technical information in a complex environment
Experience of working in a high pressure, high data volume environment

Education

Recognised CAD certification
HNC/HND (or higher) ideally in a construction-based subject
