Job summary

Holt Engineering, partnered with a well-established manufacturer in Portsmouth, is expanding its Cable production team with Cable Assemblers. You will build and assemble cable harnesses, work from drawings, and perform terminations and soldering to IPC standards in a modern facility.

Ideal candidates have cable assembly experience in electrical manufacturing, strong soldering skills, and a commitment to quality while meeting production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous cable assembly experience within an electrical manufacturing environment.
• Confident soldering and working with electrical components.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• Able to work efficiently to production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble cable harnesses to a high standard.
• Work from technical drawings and assembly instructions.
• Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate cables.
• Solder connectors and cable assemblies (IPC 620 experience desirable).
• Heat shrinking and carry out quality checks to ensure precision.

What you'll be doing As a Cable Assembler:

- Building and assembling cable harnesses to a high standard

- Working from technical drawings and assembly instructions

- Cutting, stripping, crimping, and terminating cables

- Soldering connectors and cable assemblies (IPC 620 experience desirable)

- Heat shrinking and carrying out quality checks to ensure precision

What we're looking for as a Cable Assembler:

- Previous cable assembly experience within an electrical manufacturing environment

- Confident soldering and working with electrical components

- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work

- Able to work efficiently to production deadlines
