Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd in Hook is seeking an experienced Cable Assembler to join a busy manufacturing team. You will read engineering drawings and build high-quality cable harnesses to customer specifications.

The role involves assembling, wiring, testing and inspecting a range of cable products with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cable assembly, wiring, or a similar electrical/mechanical assembly environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cable harnesses, looms, and cable assemblies to engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Carry out cable preparation including cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and terminating cables.
• Conduct visual inspections and basic testing to ensure products meet quality standards.

Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour PAYE or £22.00 per hour Umbrella
Hours: 37.5 hours per weekWorking Hours Monday to Thursday: 08:15AM - 17:00PM

Friday: 08:00AM - 15:00PM

The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Cable Assembler to join a busy manufacturing and production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous assembly or wiring experience who is confident working from engineering drawings and building high-quality cable assemblies to customer specifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and inspecting a range of cable products while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.

Key Duties
Assemble cable harnesses, looms, and cable assemblies to engineering drawings and work instructions.

Carry out cable preparation including cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and terminating cables.

Conduct visual inspections and basic testing to ensure products meet quality standards.
