The postholder will support the Leader and Cabinet with discretion, maintaining the council’s reputation with external stakeholders and coordinating strategic governance.

The role requires leading the Leader’s office administration, line management of the Leader’s PA and Cabinet Support Assistants, and collaboration with senior leaders to promote council policies

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational support to the Leader and Cabinet, ensuring effective governance and decision making.
• Lead administrative functions of the Leader’s office and manage the Leader’s PA and Cabinet Support Assistants.
• Liaise with Senior Leadership Team, Chief Executive, Corporate Communications and external stakeholders to promote Council policies.
