Job summary

Uber Boat by Thames Clippers in London is seeking a permanent nightshift technician to maintain cabin standards aboard our vessels, carrying out interior repairs across fabric, wood, metal, carpet and vinyl and updating compliance records.

You will inspect cabins, order spares using our system, ensure safety and cleanliness, and perform other duties as requested by the HOD and senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience in interior repairs to include fabric, wood, metal, carpet and vinyl.
• Window replacement experience is preferred.
• Experience working on or around vessels desirable.
• Experience updating electronic systems to record work for compliance/regulatory reasons.

Responsibilities

• Rectifying defects raised in our compliance/regulatory system to ensure cabins meet high safety and appearance standards.
• Completing inspections of cabin areas on vessels, recording defects and rectifying.
• Ensuring all work completed is recorded in our compliance system.
• Ensure all material/spares requirements are ordered in a timely manner using the system in place.
• Complete safety walk rounds and keep the workshop tidy.
• Undertake any other relevant duties as requested by the HOD and senior management.
