Job summary

Autodesk is recruiting a Software Engineer in Birmingham (Hybrid) to help develop Autodesk Fusion, a CAD/CAM desktop application, leveraging AI-assisted development. You will contribute across design, implementation, and quality assurance within a global, collaborative team.

The role requires 2–4 years of software experience in C++ and a strong foundation in object-oriented design, with exposure to CAD/CAM concepts and modern C++ practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in Computer Science or related field.
• 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and code validation.
• Strong OOP in C++, STL knowledge.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM concepts or geometry-heavy software.
• Experience with Git and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Develop features in C++ for Fusion CAD/CAM desktop app using AI-assisted tools.
• Design, implement, test, and document software components end-to-end.
• Collaborate with product management, UX, and QA to deliver Fusion capabilities.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and fix defects within Agile sprints.
