Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking an experienced C# .NET developer for a 12‑month contract in the UK. The role involves delivering current and future programs on defence tech in a mature development environment with hybrid work (4 days on-site, 1 day remote).

You will own complex tasks through the full software lifecycle, apply OO design, and collaborate with a capable team while maintaining independence. Prior defence domain exposure is beneficial.

About the Role

We need an experienced C# .NET developer who can work with the minimum of supervision to deliver current and future programs. This role provides an opportunity to work on the latest defence technology within a mature development environment.

What You’ll Do

• Develop robust applications using C# .NET within a Windows environment.
• Take ownership of complex tasks across the full software lifecycle—from requirements to integration, testing and delivery.
• Apply object-oriented design principles and verification/validation techniques.
• Collaborate with a skilled team while maintaining independence in your work.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in C# .NET development including Web Based applications.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and software development methodologies.
• Experience across the full software lifecycle including automated testing frameworks and practices.
• Experience of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) practices.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and microservices architecture.

Desirable:

• Defence or Electronic Warfare domain experience.
• Familiarity with frameworks/tools such as WPF, WinForms, Visual Studio.
• DOORS, Cameo, and Azure DevOps.
• Some C++ experience.
