Job summary

Framatome Ltd is seeking a C&I Engineer to perform C&I studies, prepare control system drawings, and support on-site installation activities at Cranfield, United Kingdom. You will collaborate with the Lead Engineer and multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery and to strengthen C&I capabilities across projects.

Applicants should have several years of layout and piping experience, familiarity with relevant standards, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while driving

Qualifications

• Experience in C&I in industry, ideally nuclear.
• On-site coordination with Lead Engineer and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Develop control panels, instruments, and related drawings.
• Knowledge of site surveys and requirement specifications.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform C&I studies, analyze input data, clarify interfaces and data links.
• Resolve open points within the team and with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Produce site surveys, control architecture drawings, block diagrams, and specifications.
• Support on-site installation activities.
• Assist bids by analysing C&I requirements and resources.
• Prepare work packages for subcontractors when needed.
• Present progress to the Lead Engineer and management.
• Contribute to training and mentoring of newcomers.

About the role

Ltd, the C&I Engineer performs C&I studies for Framatome Ltd projects and ensures on time and on cost delivery. He also supports the company's growth and strengthens the technical skills in the C&I field.

Key Activities

• In close co-ordination with the Lead Engineer on site, perform C&I studies, including analysis of input data, clarification requests, identification of interfaces, link with other disciplines.
• Ensure the resolution of open point within the team and participates to the resolution of cross-functional technical issues with multidisciplinary stakeholders, internal or external including the Client.
• Produce site surveys, control architecture drawings, block diagrams, requirement specifications for control panels, instruments, etc.
• Support on-site installation activities.
• Support the development of bids: analyse the contract requirements regarding C&I, identify the appropriate resources, plan the work.
• If needed, he can prepare work packages to be subcontracted and participate to kick-off meetings with subcontractors.
• Present and shares progress to the Lead Engineer and to the Management.
• Contribute to the development of the C&I skills within the Engineering function, in particular the training and mentoring of newcomers.
