Job summary

TRCGroup is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for ongoing store delivery work at the Essex depot (CM19). Temp to Perm opportunities available, with day, night and ad-hoc shifts across a 24/7 operation. Vehicles include Class 1 and occasional Class 2 work as required.

Typical duties include up to 8 drops per day, tail lifts, and pallet handling. Candidates must have a valid HGV Class 1 licence, CPC, Digi Card, and a solid grasp of drivers hours regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Willing to drive Class 2 (CAT C) vehicles as required.
• Minimum 3 months' physical HGV driving experience.
• Maximum 6 points for minor offences only.
• Valid CPC and Digi Card.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and regulations.
• Comfortable with manual handling, including pallets and roller cages.

Responsibilities

• Store delivery work involving pallets and roller cages.
• Up to 8 drops per day.
• Runs can consist of up to 4 drops, typically completed across 2 runs, or 1 run followed by separate deliveries and collections.
• Using tail lifts and pump trucks to complete deliveries.
• Moving and manoeuvring roller cages.
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time.
