Based in Acton, this temporary C+E Heavy Haulage Driver position with Manpower UK offers a competitive hourly rate of £22.00 to £25.87. You will support a leading rail infrastructure firm, operating specialist vehicles across London’s transport network. Responsibilities include transporting train components, wheels, bogies, and plant equipment to various depots, alongside securing loads safely. The role follows a flexible rota covering Monday to Friday days with some weekends. Suited to reliable, experienced drivers with a valid C+E licence, the position demands a solid grasp of load restraint and route planning. This is vital work underpinning crucial engineering projects, keeping the capital’s infrastructure operational.

Manpower is recruiting 2 x experienced and reliable C+E Heavy Haulage Drivers to join the specialist logistics team supporting the world's leading rail infrastructure company. Based in Acton, this is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in keeping London moving by supporting critical infrastructure and engineering works across the capital.

What You''ll Be Doing

• Operating heavy haulage vehicles across London''s transport network
• Safely transporting essential components including train parts, wheels, bogies, plant, and specialist equipment to and from London Underground depots
• Strapping and securing heavy loads safely using appropriate equipment to ensure all loads are stable during transport
• Supporting engineering possessions and planned works
• Conducting thorough pre-use vehicle checks and maintaining accurate transport logs
• Liaising with site supervisors, logistics coordinators, and depot teams to ensure timely and safe deliveries

Please note: this is not a multi-drop role. All movements are depot-to-depot or site-specific transfers.

What We''re Looking For

• Valid C+E (Class 1) licence with proven heavy haulage experience
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Strong understanding of transport regulations, load securing, and safety procedures
• A safety-conscious mindset with excellent compliance standards
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Assessment andamp; Induction

All drivers will be required to complete a full driving assessment and theory assessment prior to starting. Upon successful completion, you will undertake a 1-2-week induction and shadowing programme before being signed off as competent. Some jobs will involve support from a slinger/signaller.
