Job summary

GXO Dagenham is recruiting for a HGV C+E (Class 1 Curtainsider) Driver to join our transport team supporting Breedon Cement. This is a full-time, permanent role with Monday to Friday shifts and a guaranteed minimum of 48 hours per week, with start times typically 04:00–06:00 and paid breaks.

You’ll be paid £49,192 per annum (based on 50 hours per week) with a weekly pay cycle and a generous benefits package including a pension, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards.
• No more than 6 current penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Single drop pallet deliveries (typically between 2 and 3 per shift) from our Dagenham depot to retail and trade locations.
• Strap down pallets of cement and secure the curtains before heading out on the road.
• Maintain clear communication with the transport office regarding any issues and provide exceptional service to our customers.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time.

Here at GXO Dagenham, we are currently recruiting for HGV C+E (Class 1) Curtainsider Driver to join our transport team supporting our customer, Breedon Cement, RM9 6PR. If you are looking for a new challenge and the chance to develop your career, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, Monday to Friday, minimum of 48 hours per week guaranteed pay, with start times generally between 04:00 to 06:00 and paid breaks!
