Job summary

Searchability in Enfield, North London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the software lifecycle from design through verification. You will contribute to architecture decisions and lead development across the full stack of products.

This hands-on role requires mentoring, collaboration with customers and engineering peers, and a focus on delivering robust, well-tested software in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering software from specification through to verification.
• Strong SDLC knowledge and software lifecycle experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio 2022/2026.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Scripting in Python and/or PowerShell.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers.

Searchability is hiring for a Senior Software Engineer to join an established engineering team working on technically complex, innovative software products.

This role will take ownership of software development from initial specification and design through implementation, testing, verification and ongoing maintenance.

The Role

• Design, develop, test and maintain high-quality software.
• Take software projects through the full development lifecycle.
• Develop new software while supporting and enhancing existing products.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
• Work closely with customers, suppliers and technical stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
