The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced engineer to join the Risk Data team. This role provides an opportunity to expand your skills by creating state-of-the-art tools for data onboarding, analysis, sourcing, quality checking, and lifecycle management.

You will collaborate with Risk Officers, analysts, quants, and engineers to deliver risk solutions tailored to specific engine/strategy requirements or for the entire company. You will also design and develop solutions to address big data challenges, managing approximately 200 terabytes of data.

The company's systems predominantly run on Windows, with most code written in .NET (C#). Data storage primarily uses SQL Server, with ArcticDb being introduced for larger datasets. The company continually evaluates new technologies, tools, and libraries.

Requirements

• Expert programming experience, ideally in .NET
• Understanding of challenges associated with large datasets (structured and unstructured)
• Solid experience with Windows platforms, scripting languages, and exposure to Linux environments
• Knowledge of modern practices in ETL, data engineering, and stream processing
• A degree in a high mathematical and computing content field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics) from a top-tier university
• Working knowledge of one or more database technologies, such as SQL Server

Nice to Have

• Prior experience working with financial market data or alternative data
• Relevant mathematical knowledge, e.g., statistics, time-series analysis
• Experience with Python, Kubernetes, S3, or Kafka
