Job summary

Oxford Knight is seeking a pragmatic C++ Engineer to join the Core Development team on the London trading floor. You will design, build and test the infrastructure, tools and systems that drive trading and business needs.

Requirements include 4+ years of modern C++ on Linux, deep knowledge of OO design, multithreading, OS and networks. A CS/CE degree is required; low-latency experience is a bonus. NB: Please don't apply if you're a fresh graduate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' modern C++ programming experience on Linux.
• Solid understanding of computer systems (operating systems, networks, performance optimization, etc.)
• Deep-level knowledge of OO design and multithreaded programming.
• Experience creating/supporting cross-platform multithreaded applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or related).
• Bonus points for low-latency development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and test the infrastructure, tools and systems for trading and business needs.
• Collaborate with traders, quants and technologists across the firm to solve advanced technical problems.
• Address CPU architecture, operating systems, networking and hardware challenges.
