Job summary

Oxford Knight is seeking a Software Engineer – Build Platform to join our London team. You will design and roll out modern C++ build systems, create reusable CI/CD pipelines, and container images to accelerate developer productivity.

You will work with engineering teams to remove bottlenecks and improve reliability, enabling faster delivery of production-grade software. Join a highly talented DevEx crew that values speed, collaboration, and impact, with a competitive salary and profit-sharing.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with C++ build systems and developer tooling.
• Experience designing, adopting, or operating modern build systems (Bazel, Buck2, Pants, Gradle).
• Strong understanding of build system concepts: incremental builds, caching, reproducibility, dependency graphs, remote execution, artifact management.
• Significant experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Buildkite, Jenkins).
• Deep-level understanding of end-to-end SDLC.
• Familiarity with GitHub/GitLab.
