Job summary

Screwfix is seeking a commercially minded Buyer to shape category performance within our Trading team. This 12-month FTC/Secondment offers exposure to board-level decisions, data-driven buying, and omnichannel transformation.

You'll lead high-value categories, negotiate strategic supplier deals, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver growth. Hybrid working, discretionary bonus, and extensive wellbeing programs support you in this pivotal role.

About You

You’re a commercially minded, customer-focused professional with a proven track record in buying, trading, or category management. You’re strategic yet hands-on—able to build strong commercial plans, spot opportunities in the data, and negotiate deals that deliver real results.

You’re confident working across teams, managing change, and bringing people with you. You can communicate clearly, influence senior stakeholders, and present your ideas with impact.
