I’m recruiting on behalf of a leading, design-led furniture supplier to the residential real estate sector. Known for their innovation, quality, and people-first culture, they’re growing fast and are looking for a talented Product Buyer to join their high-performing product & design team.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Product Buyer, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering an inspiring and commercially strong product range across residential apartments, student accommodation, and large-scale property developments.

Your responsibilities will include:

Product Sourcing & Range Development: Build a balanced, innovative product mix from UK and global suppliers – including stocked, bespoke, and project-specific lines.
Supplier Management: Develop and manage strong supplier relationships to drive product quality, availability, and innovation. A strong supplier background and existing network is highly desirable.
Design Appreciation: Collaborate closely with in-house design teams to ensure all product selections align with design intent, trend direction, and client expectations.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Confidently manage internal and external stakeholders, including presenting product ideas and pushing back constructively where needed.
Critical Path Management: Ensure key deadlines are met across departments. Create product spec sheets, sales training guides, and manage samples/swatches.
Market Research & Trend Spotting: Stay current with industry trends via trade shows, supplier visits, and market insights to inform future development.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in buying or product development, ideally with a solid supplier background and network.
Confident, clear communicator – able to present ideas persuasively and push back professionally when needed.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
Analytical and solution-oriented – thrives under pressure and tight deadlines.
Energetic, curious, and collaborative – someone who’s excited to help shape an evolving product strategy.
Proficient in IT (Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint etc)
A strong appreciation for design and a keen interest in furniture and interiors.
