The Role

As a Buyer (Grade D), you will drive the commercial performance of your category across all formats. This role involves managing a category with scale and complexity, requiring relevant commercial experience. You will be the key decision maker with the autonomy to deliver your category strategy.

What you will be doing

  1. Delivering and tracking sales and profitability KPIs.
  2. Curating the optimum assortment for customers to meet commercial targets.
  3. Generating initiatives to increase sales and profitability.
  4. Managing the category and trade plan aligned with the business strategy.
  5. Negotiating with suppliers, including strategy and terms improvement.
  6. Defining pricing and promotional strategies.
  7. Source and develop products/suppliers in line with strategy.
  8. Delivering projects and trials with cross-functional teams.
  9. Contributing to the annual budget process.
