Job summary

Almac Sciences in Craigavon is seeking a Buyer to provide fixed term cover in our Procurement team. You will help manage supply chains, develop supplier relationships, and process orders to ensure timely delivery.

Ideal candidates have procurement experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with purchasing/inventory systems and MS Office. This role offers hybrid working and competitive benefits.

Location: Craigavon

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (core hours are between 10:00-16:00 Monday to Friday) - hybrid working available

The Role

Almac Sciences is recognized globally for excellence in sourcing and supplying materials and services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Our Procurement department supports all divisions of Almac Sciences worldwide, including Arran Chemical Company and Almac Discovery.

We have an opening for a Buyer to provide fixed term cover in our Procurement team. In this role, you’ll help manage supply chains, develop efficient and cost-effective supplier relationships, and work closely with colleagues, suppliers, and clients. You’ll also maintain supplier records, process daily orders and requisitions, and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of materials and services.

What We Are Looking For

If you have 5 GCSEs (A* - C) or equivalent, 2 A-Levels (A - E) or equivalent, and previous experience in a Procurement Department, we want to hear from you.

Essential:

• Procurement experience
• Skilled with purchasing/inventory systems and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities
• Accurate, methodical, and a team player

Desirable:

• Degree or CIPS Level 4
• Pharmaceutical procurement experience
• Capital expenditure and data analysis skills
