Job Opportunity: Buyer

Join a global manufacturing company as a proactive and results-driven Buyer. This role involves managing a supplier portfolio, primarily supplying components for general assembly, within a fast-paced supply chain environment.

Location: Worcestershire, On-site, with excellent benefits including a competitive salary, 8% pension contribution, private healthcare, death in service package, full sick pay, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, free parking, and subsidised restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage supply chain deliveries according to ERP system requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure high product quality and resolve issues promptly.
• Source and negotiate new components for new product development and machine upgrades.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve supply chain efficiencies.
• Support supplier development and strategy planning.
• Maintain accurate supplier records to ensure ISO compliance.
• Ensure compliance with trade regulations such as UK/EU sanctions and trade agreements.
• Assess and mitigate supply chain risks proactively.
• Desirable: CIPS certification or equivalent professional purchasing qualification.
• Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP systems.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and compliance within a global supply chain.
• Ability to build strong supplier relationships and negotiate effectively.
• Excellent planning, communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
• Attention to detail, self-motivation, adaptability, and confidence under pressure.
• Knowledge of Microsoft AX and ability to interpret engineering drawings is a plus.
• Broad understanding of supply chain practices.
