Job summary

Owen Daniels, on behalf of a leading UK manufacturer in Coventry, is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their established Purchasing team. This role suits someone with a background in engineering and manufacturing procurement.

As a Buyer you will manage supplier relationships to hit quality, cost and delivery targets, negotiate terms for engineering components, support RFQs and supplier performance, and maintain accurate purchasing records to support reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years purchasing experience in manufacturing/engineering environments.
• Experience managing direct material suppliers and engineering commodities.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Strong negotiation, communication and supplier management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
