Job summary

Croudace Homes is seeking a Buyer to control and timely procure materials for construction projects across our Reading/Theale sites. You will place orders in line with build programmes and specifications, and actively manage supplier relationships with Site, Technical and Commercial teams.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years’ experience in residential housebuilding, a strong understanding of materials, cost control, and proficiency with COINS or similar systems, MS Office and Excel.

What you’ll be doing

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for the effective control and timely procurement of materials to support all construction-related activities.

This will include:

• placing orders in line with the relevant build programme and specification
• actively managing supplier relationships, and collaborate closely with Site, Technical and Commercial teams.

Skills & knowledge you’ll bring

• Typically 3-5 years' relevant experience as a Buyer within residential housebuilding
• Good understanding of materials, specifications and cost control
• Ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation
• Proficiency in COINS or a similar construction system
• Able to use Microsoft Office packages, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent IT and numerical skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
