PX Group is seeking a Buyer on a 12 month Fixed Term contract to join our procurement team. The role supports safe and reliable plant operations through timely sourcing of goods and services, with on-the-job training and development reviews to enhance capability.

Key responsibilities include leading RFQs, tender activities, contract review and negotiations, and maintaining compliant procurement practices across ERP systems.

Qualificações

• Experience in procurement activities including RFQs and tenders.
• Ability to review terms, assess risks and negotiate supplier contracts.
• Familiar with P2P processes and data management in ERP systems.

Responsabilidades

• Lead RFQs, evaluate quotations and liaise with stakeholders on requirements.
• Conduct tender activities and commercial bid evaluations for supplier selection.
• Review contracts and terms, identify risks and support negotiations.
• Develop and maintain low to medium risk supplier contracts on px forms.
• Ensure compliance with px procurement policies and relevant laws.
• Utilize procurement systems for supplier data and P2P processes.

Our Head Office is based in Stockton-on-Tees and is home to our administrative support teams, engineering & maintenance support team & energy services teams. The Offices are located on the river Tees with close access to walks, shops and restaurants.

The Opportunity

We are now recruiting for a Buyer on a 12 month Fixed Term contract basis.

The Buyer will work as part of a high-performing, customer-focused Procurement team, managing sourcing and supplier activities to support safe and reliable plant operations. The role will support operational & maintenance activities, planned outages & shutdowns through the timely procurement of critical goods and services.

You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead RFQs, evaluating supplier quotations against commercial requirements and liaising with stakeholders to support the evaluation of technical & operational requirements
• Conduct tender activities and commercial bid evaluations on low-medium risk/value requirements, and make recommendations for supplier selection & award
• Review supplier terms and conditions and contract documentation, identifying commercial risks and non-standard clauses, and support or lead negotiations to ensure contracts meet business and procurement requirements.
• Develop, implement and maintain low-med risk/value supplier contracts on px standard forms of contract in accordance with stakeholder requirements
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with px procurement policies, procedures, delegated authorities, and any relevant laws and legislation
• Use px procurement systems to manage the P2P process, supplier information and procurement data accurately and efficiently

• Qualified or working towards CIPS, or relevant industry experience
• Previous experience in a procurement role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: word, excel, email
• Appreciation & application of data management systems
• Working knowledge of terms and conditions and forms of contract
• Confident using ERP systems (SAPbyD knowledge beneficial)
