JN Bentley is recruiting a Buyer at our office in Skipton. This role involves coordinating procurement activities for specific projects as the project Buyer.

Responsibilities

1. Support project teams during design and optioneering stages with product and procurement knowledge.
2. Coordinate early supplier involvement with project teams.
3. Liaise with site teams to ensure requirements are understood, considering lead times, and delivered on schedule.
4. Manage supplier performance and address issues or opportunities for improvement.
5. Support and resolve delivery, quality, or invoice issues with suppliers.
6. Prepare reports, including cost analysis and forecasting.
7. Contribute to implementing frameworks and SLAs.

You will work within a procurement team managing a spend portfolio of circa £95m annually, gaining experience across various procurement disciplines. Previous experience in civil engineering projects is preferred.
