Vision Personnel is looking for a Buyer to join one of our PLC housebuilding clients on a temporary basis, to possibly fulltime employment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in housebuilding procurement
• Proficiency with COINS software
• Strong knowledge of housebuilding materials, suppliers, and NHBC / build regulations
• Excellent negotiation and commercial skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Key Duties

• Procurement & Purchasing : Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, plant, and subcontract services
• Supplier & Subcontractor Management : Build and maintain supplier relationships; monitor performance
• Cost Control & Budget Management : Track spend, manage budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Programme & Logistics Support : Schedule deliveries to align with site programmes
• Contract & Compliance : Issue purchase orders, ensure compliance with company policies and legislation
• Cross-Department Collaboration : Work closely with commercial, technical, and site teams
• Market Awareness & Reporting : Monitor trends, identify risks, and provide management reports
