Job description

We are seeking a Buyer to join our dynamic purchasing team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of material supply management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement of all products, managing all aspects of materials supply.
2. Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure alignment of business objectives.
3. Carry out supplier quarterly business reviews, monitor supplier performance, and drive solutions.
4. Ensure products are delivered on requested dates.
5. Analyze supplier spend, negotiate prices and T&Cs, focusing on cost savings and improved terms.
6. Identify and manage supply chain risks, communicating with stakeholders to mitigate risks.
7. Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Planning, Purchasing, Finance, and Quality teams.
9. Manage KPIs and reporting effectively.
10. Communicate effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and management.
11. Handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; APICS certification (CPIM) preferred.
• Experience in purchasing demand and production planning within manufacturing.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Experience with Lean and Continuous Improvement teams.
• Proficiency with Oracle or similar ERP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Ability to analyze cost-effectiveness and make sound business decisions.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
