Job summary

Stiltz Homelifts is seeking an experienced Buyer to manage purchasing and supplier relationships from our Kingswinford head office. You will handle the full purchase-to-delivery cycle, negotiate with suppliers and ensure stock is in the right place at the right time.

You will report to the Group Supply Chain Manager and contribute to cost savings, process improvements, and accurate purchasing records. A permanent, full-time role with a competitive package and benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Buyer or in procurement.
• Experience managing the full purchase-to-delivery process.
• Experience sourcing suppliers and negotiating prices and contracts.
• Strong Excel skills (lookups and pivot tables).
• Commercial awareness of costs, margins and stock control.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage suppliers and deadlines.
• Clear communication and collaborative approach.
• Bonus if you have CIPS qualification or are working towards one, or NetSuite experience.

Responsibilities

• Raise and manage purchase orders from requisition to delivery in NetSuite.
• Source suppliers, request quotes and compare total costs.
• Negotiate prices, lead times and terms; ensure adherence to contracts.
• Maintain stock levels, master data and purchasing records.
• Forecast demand and perform monthly stock checks.
• Check deliveries against POs and resolve issues.
• Monitor supplier delivery and quality.
• Report on spend, savings and supplier performance.
• Support improvements to purchasing processes and participate in improvement projects.

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 per year, depending on experience

Location: Kingswinford, West Midlands(DY6), on-site

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Contract: Permanent

Stiltz Homelifts is looking for an experienced Buyer to manage purchasing and supplier relationships at our head office in Kingswinford.

About the role

As our Buyer, you will source and buy consumables, spares and equipment our teams rely on. Reporting to our Group Supply Chain Manager, you will manage the full purchasing process, negotiate with suppliers and keep the right stock in the right place at the right time.

What you will do

• Raise and manage purchase orders from requisition to delivery in our ERP system (NetSuite).

• Source suppliers, request quotes and compare them on total cost.

• Negotiate prices, lead times and terms, and make sure purchases follow agreed contracts.

• Keep stock levels, master data and purchasing records accurate and up to date.

• Forecast demand and carry out monthly stock checks.

• Check deliveries against purchase orders and resolve any issues.

• Monitor supplier delivery and quality.

• Report on spend, cost savings and supplier performance.

• Help improve our purchasing processes and take part in improvement projects.

What you will bring

• Proven experience as a Buyer or in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering business.

• Experience managing the full purchase-to-delivery process.

• Experience sourcing new suppliers and negotiating prices and contracts.

• Strong Excel skills, including look-ups and pivot tables.

• Commercial awareness of costs, margins and stock control.

• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage suppliers and deadlines.

• Clear communication and a collaborative approach.

• It’s a bonus if you have a Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification or are working towards one, or if you have used NetSuite before.

• Stock availability above 98% for consumables and spares.

• Year-on-year cost savings through smart sourcing and negotiation.
