We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientedBuyerto join our procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, goods, and services to meet operational requirements. This role plays a key part in ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively negotiate, manage and build appropriate relationships with key suppliers. Identify, select and develop new suppliers to meet future business needs
• Obtain and benchmark supplier costs ensuring value for money
• Propose, implement and manage proactive cost reduction and supplier improvement plans
• Carry out supplier operational reviews
• First point of escalation for supplier issues
• Manage internal customer relationships, providing a flexible responsive customer service for all internal customer specific requests/needs
• Assist in the development and management of subcontractors to support business needs

• Procurement experience working within the built environment (projects, M&E, facilities management)
• Ability to follow Procurement Processes
• Good IT skills including Word and Excel
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels
• Able to manage internal customer relationships
• Able to self-motivate
• Has well-developed problem-solving skills

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Clean driving license and own transport
• Achieved or working towards CIPS membership
