Job summary

TVS Supply Chain Solutions UK & Europe is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to join the purchasing team aboard our beverages-focused initiatives for brewing clients. You will deliver strategic sourcing, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost savings across multiple projects within a dynamic, client-driven environment.

You will operate within a hybrid structure in the UK, leading cross-functional teams, travelling as needed, and ensuring governance and BPSS compliance throughout

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in procurement or sourcing roles.
• CIPS qualified or working towards certification.
• Strategic sourcing experience with category and supplier negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic procurement plans to ensure on-time delivery and value.
• Lead tender processes and stakeholder guidance for assigned categories.
• Identify supply risks and implement mitigation during strategy and tender execution.
• Negotiate supplier agreements, manage vendor relationships, and drive cost savings.
• Record and present client cost savings using ERP systems.
• Provide regular category updates to clients and internal teams.
• Travel as required to meet with suppliers and clients.

Job description

As a vital member of our purchasing team, you will play a key role in delivering a diverse range of categories, aligning with our contracted pricing strategy, ensuring optimal product availability while upholding the required quality standards. Your primary responsibility is to complete day-to-day purchasing activities promptly and in accordance with both business and client expectations. Working within the beverage sector on behalf of our brewing clients.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a strategic procurement plan, ensuring successful delivery.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned categories, guiding key stakeholders through tender processes.
• Identify and proactively address supply and commercial risks during strategy implementation and tender execution.
• Optimise project deliverables in alignment with quality, service, cost, and innovation objectives.
• Negotiate key commercial data and supplier agreements for specific projects.
• Lead strategic supplier negotiations to reduce costs.
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with key vendors to improve pricing and service quality.
• Record client cost savings and cost reduction using ERP systems and presenting to clients.
• Provide regular category updates to clients.
• Identify and implement supplier development opportunities that add value and support contract delivery.
• Recognize and pursue additional opportunities, actively fostering mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers.
• Establish strong and effective external client relationships to understand and meet customer needs.
• Contribute to the development of key processes within the department.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Substantial prior experience in procurement or sourcing roles.
• CIPS qualified or working towards certification.
• Strategic sourcing expertise, including the development of category and sourcing strategies involving multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to independently lead project teams and work collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management skills.
• Effective presentation skills up to senior leadership team level.
• Professional and ethical approach to work.
• Excellent communication skills across various media.
• Proven track record in managing direct relationships with major suppliers.
• Strong grasp of commercial purchasing opportunities and contract negotiation and management skills.
• Proven and experienced negotiator.
• Possession of a full driving license and willingness to travel.
