About the role
We are seeking experienced Butchers to manage our Butchery Departments as if they were their own business. This role involves working with customers, understanding the local market, and providing excellent service.
This position offers the flexibility to run a butchery business without financial risk. Ideal candidates will have good product knowledge of all meat types, be self-motivated, and eager to succeed.
You will be responsible for
- Maintaining high standards in stock, food safety, meat displays, staff morale, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborating with the Store Manager to develop a business plan to grow sales and profitability.
- Greeting customers, providing advice, answering questions, accepting orders, and assisting with a smile.
- Managing stock, including ordering and stocktaking.
- Leading a small team, including staff scheduling.
- Cutting meat to order.
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Coordinating deliveries and order pickups.
- Controlling waste.
