Overview

Supporting Farmers, the Rural Economy, and Feeding the Country!

Working with local farmers to produce consistent quality lamb from naturally sustainable sources, we are actively seeking applications from individuals keen to take up a career within one of Europe’s leading food processing companies.

We are looking for Butchers to join our Llanybydder site to ensure all products are boned out to the highest standard which maximises yield whilst meeting production targets and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

General Production Duties

• Ensuring Primal Butchery targets are met within deadlines, without compromising quality or control of costs.
• Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained.
• Ensuring that Quality, Health & Safety and other Company policies are adhered to.
• Maintaining good employee relations and promoting equality of opportunity
• Working within the Company Mission, Vision & Values.

Specific Duties

• De-boning shoulders and trimming.
• De-boning legs and trimming.
• Trimming and preparing loins for processing.
• Breaking carcasses down from whole to primals using a band-saw or knife.
• Following customer specification standards (QAS).
• Maintain current yields and quality standards.
• Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices i.e. Dropped Meat Policy
• Ensure knife safety training and guidelines are followed.
• Ensure correct cleaning procedure of knives and PPE is always followed.
• Ensure correct storage procedure of knives and PPE is always followed.
• General knife duties.
