You will cut and prepare meat to specification, collect and label biological samples, and ensure accurate data entry and reporting. The job requires meticulous record-keeping and adherence to hygiene standards.

The position offers full training, a supportive team environment, and potential for long-term employment. Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts during busy periods.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have experience in meat preparation and cutting, with the ability to follow hygiene and safety standards. This role also involves collecting biological samples, using computer systems, and completing associated paperwork accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform skilled butchery tasks including cutting, trimming, and preparing meat to specification
• Take and label biological samples accurately and safely
• Record data and maintain traceability using computer systems
• Complete all required documentation and reports clearly and correctly
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and adhere to food hygiene and safety regulations
• Assist with stock rotation, storage, and inventory management
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors in English

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a butcher or meat processor
• Good spoken and written English
• Ability to take biological samples following correct procedures (training can be provided)
• Competent computer skills for data entry and reporting
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

Shift Pattern:
