Job summary

Smile Education is seeking a capable Business Teacher to join a secondary school in Smethwick from September 2026. You will plan and deliver engaging Business lessons across KS4, with potential KS5, and support students to make strong progress.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS (or be an ECT finishing training), be confident teaching at KS4, and enjoy building positive relationships with students and staff.

Qualifications

• A qualified Business Teacher with QTS, or an ECT completing their teacher training
• Confident teaching Business at KS4 level
• Passionate about education and committed to raising student achievement
• Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
• An engaging and adaptable classroom practitioner
• Looking for a long-term role with potential to become permanent

• Planning and delivering engaging Business lessons across KS4 and potentially KS5
• Creating a positive classroom environment where students are motivated to achieve

• Preparing students effectively for examinations and assessments
• Working collaboratively with the wider department and school staff
• Contributing to the wider life of the school
