Job summary

Smile Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher for a part-time, long-term placement in Stafford. The role involves delivering well-planned lessons across Years 3-6, maintaining high standards, and supporting pupil progress within a welcoming primary school setting.

The ideal candidate holds QTS, has KS2 experience, and is flexible, well-organised and capable of building positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching across Key Stage 2.
• Flexible, well-organised and confident teaching across a range of year groups.
• Strong classroom management, behaviour management and communication skills.
• Able to quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of individual learners and different abilities.
• Be passionate about delivering high-quality, engaging and inspiring lessons.
• Be committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver well-planned, engaging and purposeful lessons across Years 3-6.
• Maintain strong classroom routines and promote positive behaviour and engagement.
• Support pupil progress during class teachers' PPA and release time.
• Collaborate with class teachers, teaching assistants and wider school staff.
• Uphold the school's values of respect, ambition and inclusion.
• Ensuring continuity, consistency and high standards in teaching and learning.
• Adapting lessons to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
