Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a part-time Business Teacher for a mainstream secondary school in Mansfield. The role covers KS4 and KS5, with GCSE and A-Level exam preparation, two days per week on a long-term contract starting September 2026.

Potential for permanent placement from Sept 2026 or Jan 2027. You will hold QTS or equivalent with Business specialism, with experience teaching up to KS5 and strong classroom management to help students achieve excellent results while delivering the schools

Qualifications

• QTS or relevant Teaching Qualification with Business specialism (ECTs welcomed).
• Experience teaching Business up to Key Stage 5.
• Excellent classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Teach Business across KS4 and KS5, including GCSE/A-Level exam preparation.
• Follow and implement the school's schemes of learning.
• Contribute to student achievement and continuous assessment.

Job Title: Business Teacher

Location: Mansfield

Start Date: September 2026

Salary: £168 to £261 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school based in Mansfield, just outside the town centre. The school is well-known in the area and has a good reputation.

The school is looking to take on a Business Teacher on a part-time basis for 2 days per week on a long-term contract starting in September 2026 after the summer break. This is a vacancy and as such a permanent role could be available for the right applicant from September 2026 or January 2027.

The successful applicant will be working across both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, including exam preparation for GCSEs and A-Levels. The role will be paramount in helping students achieve excellent results in the subject, whilst following and implementing the schemes of learning.

The successful Business Teacher will have:

• QTS or relevant Teaching Qualification with Business specialism (ECTs are also welcomed)
• Experience teaching Business up to Key Stage 5
• Excellent classroom management
