Job summary

Activate Learning is seeking a dedicated Business Teacher to join the Academic Studies team at Bracknell and Wokingham College campus to deliver T-Level Business and T-Level Legal. This permanent, part-time role 19.2 hours per week across Tuesday, Thursday and Friday offers training, industry-aligned curriculum development, and opportunities to inspire learners pursuing vocational qualifications.

Candidates with a degree and strong communication skills are encouraged, teaching qualification

Activate Learning is looking for a Business Teacher to join our Academic Studies teaching team to deliver T-Level Business and T-Level Legal.

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and passionate individuals with the ability to inspire, so that our Business students have a memorable learning experience.

With your excellent subject knowledge and practical skills, you will work collaboratively with our existing team of talented and passionate teachers to plan and deliver purposeful practical and theory lessons on our T-Level courses. You will contribute to curriculum development that meets the needs of changing industry demands. Our Academic and Professional Studies department has an excellent record of delivering vocational Business courses with employability embedded at their heart. This is achieved through excellent relationships with industry and the employment of experts with extensive professional experience within the teaching team.

This is a permanent, part-time role working 19.2 hours (0.52) at our Bracknell and Wokingham College campus. The hours are worked across Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

What do you need to be successful as a Business Teacher at Activate Learning?

We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.

Whilst previous teaching experience or qualification would be an advantage, it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications or experience to teach on our Business courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.

• Experience of working in any business-related sector is required.


• Experience in law is not required. Preferably candidates will be familiar with company law.


• Educated to a degree level.


• Effective communication skills.


• It is desirable if you have a teaching qualification and worked within education as a teacher, but this is not essential.

Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners. You will also have strong organisation skills coupled with the ability to prioritise workloads and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with a variety of opportunities for career development.
