Job summary

Wallace Hind Talent Solutions is seeking a Business Systems & Transformation Lead in Burnley to own the ERP platform (Syspro) and drive business-wide process improvements. The role focuses on using systems, data and automation to enable growth, with collaboration across Operations, Finance and Supply Chain.

You will map processes, gather requirements, and lead change initiatives, delivering measurable improvements and enhanced reporting.

THE OPPORTUNITY : Business Systems & Transformation Lead – ERP, Business Systems, Continuous Improvement

Many people would describe this as an ERP role. They’re wrong.

Yes, the ERP sits at the centre of the role, but this is really about business transformation, process improvement and driving operational excellence.

You’ll spend your time working with stakeholders across the business, understanding how processes currently work, identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical improvements that deliver measurable results. One day you could be mapping a business process within Operations, the next you could be reviewing reporting requirements with Finance, working on a systems integration project with an external partner or identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks.

This role is for somebody who enjoys solving problems, challenging the status quo and helping businesses work smarter.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Business Systems & Transformation Lead acts as the bridge between business operations, technology partners and key stakeholders, ensuring that business systems continue to support operational excellence, scalability and future growth.

The purpose of the role is simple:

• Own and develop the ERP platform (Syspro) and associated business systems
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation
• Review, map and improve business processes across multiple functions
• Increase utilisation of business systems and reduce manual workarounds
• Support systems integration, automation and digital development projects
• Develop reporting, business insight and data‑driven decision making
• Work with external technology providers and implementation partners
• Build internal capability, knowledge and adoption of business systems

REQUIREMENTS:

You will probably have experience in Business Systems, ERP, Business Analysis or Transformation roles where you’ve improved business performance through better systems, processes and ways of working. You’ll be comfortable working across multiple departments, understanding how businesses operate and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, visibility and control.

You’ll have experience mapping and analysing business processes, gathering requirements, facilitating workshops and managing change, supported by a good understanding of ERP systems, reporting, business data and systems integration.

Most importantly, you’ll be somebody who win ‘hearts and mind’, gaining buy in from users, enjoys solving problems, questioning established ways of working and using technology to create measurable business improvements.

Previously you will have:

• Improved business performance through ERP systems, business systems or technology‑led transformation initiatives
• Mapped, analysed and improved business processes
• Managed stakeholders and delivered organisational change initiatives
• Worked with ERP systems in manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, supply chain or operational environments
• Managed external technology providers and implementation partners
• Worked with reporting, business data and systems integration projects

Advantageous but not essential:

• Syspro knowledge
• Power BI or SQL experience
• WMS, EDI or supplier integration experience
• Exposure to automation technologies and AI‑enabled business tools
