About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Support Service Team Leader to lead and develop a team providing high-quality business support to our Adult Social Care locality services. You will manage and motivate colleagues, oversee workloads and administrative processes, maintain high standards of data quality and customer service, and work closely with operational teams to identify opportunities for improvement. You will also support recruitment, induction, supervision and development of staff, manage complex or escalated enquiries and contribute to service and system changes. The role provides a great opportunity to develop your leadership skills while helping shape efficient, responsive business support services.

You will help ensure colleagues understand their safeguarding responsibilities, handle sensitive information appropriately and recognise and escalated concerns through the correct routes. You will be a positive, organised and supportive leader with experience of supervising or managing staff within an administrative or business support environment. You will have:

Oxfordshire County Council is open to discussions about flexible working arrangements, including options such as flexitime, part-time working and job sharing, depending on the requirements of the role and service. Your office base may be subject to change as we are currently transitioning between temporary and permanent office locations due to the closure of County Hall. If this is applicable to you, you will be notified, but no reimbursement will apply in respect of travel.
