Job description

Service Care Solutions are working alongside a Local Authority in Nottingham who are looking to recruit a Finance Business Support Officer to join their team on a temporary contract.

Role Details:
  • Location: Nottinghamshire
  • Rate: £12.85 per hour (PAYE exc.) / £15.82 per hour (Umbrella/LTD)
  • Contract: 3 months ongoing
  • Working: Full-time, On-site
Role Overview:
  • Support the procurement of goods and services by raising purchase orders and accurately entering data into BMS/SAP systems.
  • Manage invoice approvals, resolve payment queries, and liaise with departments and vendors.
  • Raise purchase orders and input data into BMS/SAP.
  • Monitor team inbox and manage own worklist.
  • Resolve order/payment issues and chase invoice approvals.
  • Input travel claim payments into Excel.
  • Ensure accuracy, meet deadlines, and follow business support processes.
  • Demonstrate strong numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Excel, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Be organised, methodical, and able to work under pressure.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
